I
have been following events in Northern Ireland for
the last fifteen years because I have ancestors on
both sides of the conflict. For much of the time I
have found The Blanket difficult to pidgeonhole
and that is a good thing. The articles by Dr. John
Coulter have been an eyeopener to many of the deeper
currents in NI politics. He gives reason for hope
about the future. Respect for people's differences
and an understanding of how their views were formed
can only lead to a less sectarian attitude. I hope
you will continue to give him space.
