Gurr and Rory O'Driscoll plus four other activists
for the Turkish Socialist and Death Fast causes have
just been charged in London under the Terrorism Act.
All six, four men and two women, have been charged
with Membership of a proscribed organisation and controlling
property or assets of a proscribed group.

The six, five Turkish nationals and one British, are
alleged to be involved with DHKP-C, a Turkish left-wing
organisation also known as the Revolutionary People's
Front. The organisation was proscribed by the Home
Secretary in March.
six were remanded on bail and are due to appear at
the same court again on 13 January. Two of the men,
Rory O'Driscoll, 29, and Allaatin Kalander, 36 are
from Stoke Newington, north London. Gurkan Gur, 38,
is from Hyde, Cheshire. One woman, Songul Ozgur, 27,
is from Brighton, East Sussex, Selver Kapan, 30, is
from Islington, north London and Birten Kalayci, also
30, is from Finsbury Park, north London.
is alleged that some of the defendants were found
in possession of magazines, videos and posters supporting
Judge Timothy Workman ordered all the defendants to
surrender their passports.
