Limerick Feud Denial Óglaigh na hÉireann The Limerick Brigade Óglaigh na hÉireann take this opportunity to distance ourselves from the recent feuding in Limerick City. We blame mischievous elements within the Free State government, media, and political organizations for the deliberate smear and misinformation campaign against our volunteers. This is not the first time a republican group has been linked to the feud with no evidence to support such claims. We reject any attempts to link the IRA with gangsterism or criminality and are aware that anti-republican elements have always used this tactic to denigrate the republican struggle. We call on all those concerned about the issue to act together to bring the matter to a speedy conclusion instead of using it to make short term political capital. In conclusion, we categorically deny any involvement in the feuding. We remain dedicated to the defence of the Irish Republic. We remain committed to the aims, objectives, principles and leadership of the Irish Republican Army.
